In basket coverage guidelines for Far East County (reviewed in early 2015, finalized in April 2015 and posted in May 2015:

Patient calls: Respond to all patient calls and mark them as complete unless you think it's something the PCP would want to see.

Rx request: Refill all Rx's as appropriate. Controlled substances for stable patients should be refilled for the same duration that the PCP has been filling it for. Don't just fill until the PCP comes back. If it's a pt that is not on a stable dose of a med, use your discretion.

Results:
Abnormal results: Take appropriate action and leave in inbasket for PCP to view.
Ordered by specialty clinic: Take appropriate action and mark as reviewed.
Normal labs: Mark as reviewed. (The vote was tied, but the people that wanted to keep them didn't feel as strongly about it.)
Leave studies (sleep study, PFT, colonoscopy, egd) and diagnostic imaging even if they are normal

Staff message: Respond as appropriate. Leave if you think PCP would like to see it.

CC'd charts: Respond as appropriate. Leave if you think PCP would like to see it.
